Mental Health?
Hi! How’s life? I hope you’re doing well.
Anyway, have you ever heard about mental health? Or maybe one of your friends told you about it? Well, I’m here to tell you the same things too tho. But if you wanna know more, and of course with the trusted reference, you will find it here. So, let’s check this out.
We can see this situation, right? Yups, COVID-19 has changed the situation and makes us stay at home. The isolation that we have could probably make our wellbeing decrease because we cannot live as normal as usual. Anyway, wellbeing is the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy. And mental health is an important part even if this part may not be seen by other people (we can feel it and sometimes we can also hide it from others). Balancing our health, especially in our physiology, should be highlighted. If we are not aware from now, maybe this problem will be worse with the time flow. And this is one of the states of mental health.
Basically, mental health includes some parts of ourselves such as emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.
Over the course of your life, if you find yourself having a mental health problem, it will affect your thinking, mood, and behavior. Many factors influence in mental condition, including:
Biological factors, such as genes or brain chemistry
Life experiences, such as trauma or abuse
Family history of mental health problems
By the way, as I mentioned before, mental health still has a correlation with well-being. Because it indicates that people believe their lives are going well, wellbeing is also defined as a positive result that is relevant for people and many sectors of society. Good living conditions (for example, housing and work) are essential for happiness. It is critical for public policy to keep track of these conditions. Many indicators of living conditions, on the other hand, fail to capture what people think and feel about their lives, such as the quality of their relationships, their positive emotions and resilience, the realization of their potential, or their overall satisfaction with life—i.e., their "wellbeing." Wellbeing generally includes global judgments of life satisfaction and feelings ranging from depression to joy.
And based on the SDG or Sustainable Development Goals website, good health and well-being is one of their goals to make a better world. This is caused by many resources that people might hide their mental illness because it seems that having an illness is as the same as being a weirdo. Our productivity to do something that will be decreasing when we feel uncomfortable also cannot be denied. And it has affected society. But, how? I’m gonna tell you after this.
Thanks for reading, fellow! See you in another part.
