The Third One

Hi fellas! Welcome back to my blog. May God bless you always today. Aamiin.

In the previous chapter, I was telling you about mental health. Then did you know the effect of mental health issues? If you think it just causes our health to decrease and we feel uncomfortable, then your answer is wrong. Mental health affects every sector of our life.

I guess some of you guys have known that mental health is important. but the word “important” does not only connote for ourselves. and actually this mental health also affects our social life. What does it mean?

As we have known, SDG has mentioned, especially in the third objective, that health is an essential. and even if we have known this, we still do not understand yet and still ignore it. Even though we know, based on data from the KFF website, the decline in health numbers during this pandemic is declining and health that we must consider to take care of is not only physical but also psychologically.

And then, there are still some people in other parts of society who believe this is a taboo subject. They say that in psychology, not being healthy is the same as being insane. The trending issue then becomes a support argument for them, implying that they will fail to recognize that everyone matters, even if we are sick. They believe we are simply following the crowd.

In other parts of the world, the media and society play a role in this problem. Mental illness can be stigmatized by society's perceptions. Some people believe that people with mental illnesses are dangerous, but they are more likely to be attacked or harm themselves than they are to harm others.

So what other things are also affected?

  1. For ourselves : decreasing in our productivity, accompanying of physical illness

  2. Family and friends : feelings of pity and anxiety because of seeing our situation

  3. Social life : because of our decreased productivity, our activities with the surrounding environment will also be disrupted

You definitely don't want to feel all this, right? Yes, I know, it's not easy. But I know what we can do to prevent it. And we will discuss it in the next chapter. Thank you and see you soon!
